We recently completed work on the AECWPB (Australian Education and Care Workforce Professional Body, also known as ECW) website and logo. We created the logo for the client in a pinch as they weren't happy with previous versions created by another designer and it's gone on to form the basis on their branding. The website is powered by Wordpress and it features complex membership and subscription based e-commerce and social networking functionality.
This was an interesting project for us, our client was on a tight deadline and wanted a very feature rich site on a relatively small budget. For these reasons we chose to use Wordpress, which is usually not one of our preferred platforms. On this project however, Wordpress made sense because we could leverage some powerful plugins to give us the basic functionality required very quickly, then spend most of our time refining the functionality and design.
Although it's not truly in keeping with our usual approach to website design and development, we're happy with the results and we've gained some valuable knowledge through this process.
